Born on 21st July 1964, Kemp’s age is 53. He was born in Barking, Essex, England to a detective chief inspector father and a hairdresser mother. Kemp has a brother named Darren who works for BBC as a filmmaker.

His personal life is as interesting as his roles in the series. He married to the then editor of “ The Sun”, Rebekah Wade on June 2002. Later, Wade was arrested in November of 2005 following an alleged assault on Kemp. This marriage officially ended in March 2009 with their divorce.
