An American actor Mark-Paul, born on March 1, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, U.S, is a son of his parents Paula, who is a homemaker and hostess for KLM and Hans Gosselaar, who is a plant supervisor for Anheuser-Busch. His father is of German and Dutch Jewish descent while his mother is of Indonesian and Dutch descent.
He begins his steps on modelling just at the age of 5. In his childhood days, he appeared in commercials for Oreo cookies. His acting skills impressed everyone and so he was again offered with the commercial of Smurf merchandise. For his excellent performance in the different commercial advertisement, he was provided with guest spots on television series.

Mark-Paul spends most of his teenage age in the 'Santa Clarita Valley' in Southern California. For his high school, he was sent to 'Hart High School'.
For the first time, he came to public attention after his appearance in the television comedy series 'Saved by the Bell', for his role as a 'Zack Morris' from 1989 to 1993. NBC executives believed that a similar show, with Zack Morris as the series lead, had the potential for success, so, In 1994, Mark appeared as Zack Morris in a second spin-off series 'Saved by the Bell: The New Class'.
In 1993, for the first time, he starred in the movie, White Wolves: A Cry in the Wild II, as Scott James.
