Saudi Arabia being one of the best football teams in Asia has been qualified to the 2018 World Cup after 12 years. This team last appeared in the grounds of World Cup of 2006, Germany. The players for 2018 World Cup are not public yet but in the recent friendly match against Iraq, 19 players were called up. More than 50 players from different clubs were also called up in the past 12 months and it is arguable that from amongst these players, the team for 2018 World Cup will be selected. Coached by retired football striker Juan Antonio Pizzi Torroja, the Saudi Arabian team has high hopes for doing well in the upcoming World Cup in Russia.
